Mua Cave (starting point):
Mua cave is located at the foot of Mount Mua, belonging to the ecotourism community of Khe Dau Ha village, Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu district. From the down of the mountain you can see the white stone steps leading to the top of the mountain, looking like a mini natural Great Wall. The two sides of the steps are elaborately decorated with the dragon or phoenix shape carved in the art of the Tran dynasty.
Tam Coc:
Tam Coc - Bich Dong, also known as the famous names such as "Halong bay on land" or "Nam Thien the second most beautiful cave", is a key national tourism in Vietnam. Sailing is the only way for you to visit Tam Coc. While visiting Tam Coc, you should talk to the boatman before if you want stop to take photos or climb higher to find beautiful corners and panoramic views.
Thai Vi Temple:
Thai Vi Temple is a temple located in Van Lam village, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. The temple is to worship Kings of Tran dynasty having great merit to the country like Tran Thai Tong, Tran Thanh Tong, Tran Nhan Tong, Tran Anh Tong and Queen Thuan Thien. Thai Vi temple is special because all the architecture were completely handmade-carved. The oldest surviving vestiges include stone statues, stone columns, iron altar, and bell tower (built in 1689, bells were also cast from that year).
Bich Dong Pagoda:
From Tam Coc, along Ngo Giang river 2km, you can go to Bich Dong. Xuyen Thuy cave is a dark and submerged cave 350 meters long, winding from east to west along Bich Dong. At the end of Xuyen Thuy cave is Bich Dong Pagoda. It is an ancient structure like other temples but the unique thing of Bich Dong Pagoda is about its structure with three non-contiguous levels along the mountain side, based on the mountain from low to high.
Thung Nham bird sanctuary:
Thung Nham bird sanctuary is about 12km east of Ninh Binh city. It lies in the core zone of the Trang An complex, next to the famous Tam Coc- Bich Dong complex. From the Bich Dong Pagoda about 4km tourists can reach to Thung Nham - the country of birds. The place is also renovated with integrated ecological architecture: fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, visiting wetlands, primeval forests, caves and wild bird gardens.
