Bai Dinh Pagoda (starting point):

Van Long Wetland Reserve:

This protected area is located northeast of Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province. Van Long is the largest wetland reserve in the Northern Delta. It is not a natural lagoon, but formed by dykes embankment on the left bank of the Day river, turning Van Long into an immense wetland with wonderful rocky islands and caves.
